HandsOn is Paying -> Get Your Learn On!

As a part of our funding partnership with generationOn, the Ready-Set-Go! Family and Youth Engagement project, we are pleased to offer five unique webinars at no charge to you or your organization.

Each webinar has been designed to focus on a specific component of managing youth and family volunteers.  You are invited to as many as you are able to attend, but we hope to see you at all of them. These webinars are taught by experts from across the nation, and will include our peers who are also a part of this grant. 

Each webinar will run 60 minutes.  You must register for each separately by clicking on the links below and following the prompts.  Please note your time zone. 

The five topics are: 

Service-Learning Power Hour: Learn Why, Explore How, Create Now!
Take your youth service offerings to the next level by integrating the core principles of service-learning. This webinar will introduce you to service-learning and its benefits for youth, help you identify learning opportunities that your organization is able to offer, and will provide you with the tools and resources you need to create, implement and reflect on service-learning projects in any setting.
WHEN:   Tuesday, August 16th at 1pm EDT (noon CDT, 10am PDT)

Maximizing Your Best Volunteers’ Potential: Engaging Volunteer Leaders to Manage Youth and Family Volunteers
Utilize and train your current volunteer base as Volunteer Leaders to help manage your youth and family volunteers!  Volunteer Leaders are community volunteers who are trained to lead other volunteers in service.  This webinar will focus on specific strategies to recruit and engage Volunteer Leaders in your organization to lead kids, teens and families and will provide you with ample resources to ensure they are successful.

Recruiting Youth and Family Volunteers: Ensuring the Right Fit, Messaging and Experience
Youth today are volunteering twice as much as they did twenty years ago.  This webinar will provide skills and resources that allow you to increase your reach to prospective youth and family volunteers, including how to spread the word, elements of successful recruitment, and making sure your opportunity is the right fit.

Creating Meaningful Service Opportunities for Youth and Families
Learn about how to design impactful projects for youth and families that will not only benefit your agency, but also develop strong relationships with a new set of volunteers. This webinar will cover best practices and ideas for projects that will attract and retain youth and family volunteers, including specific project ideas for you to use now.

Engaging Youth of All Ages
Successful youth volunteer experiences design age-appropriate service projects and work to increase an organization’s capacity to engage youth of all ages.  This webinar will discuss the needs of youth at various ages and offer ideas on how to design service experiences to meet them at their level.
