Can we talk?

HandsOn recently launched All HandsOn Deck, our blog that aspires to be everything volunteering. To really inspire our community to engage we need to tell compelling stories. Your stories.

Ideas for Sharing:
  1. Post your own blog to the comment section of this post and we will add it to the Volunteer Blogs that Rock section of All HandsOn Deck
  2. Submit a guest blog post to HandsOn:

Keep It Simple.
We don’t expect you to write a Haiku (although we wouldn’t say no) – nor do we expect

the next feature length script. Brief paragraphs with no more than 3 sentences.
Mind your words.
Pack the biggest punch by giving us a strong headline and keeping your blog between

100 - 200 words.
Spin us a yarn:
Tell us a story with who / what / when / where / why / how. Write from your perspective

using 1st or 2nd person and a conversational tone of voice.

Pictures speak louder than words.
Images are eye-catching and will grab readers’ attention for what

you have to say. Submit relevant photos with your blog when possible.
Be human, be friendly, be you!
Let your personality show in your writing.

Link out.
Give credit when you reference other articles, and end with a call to action linking to where

readers can do it.
Our network is full of compelling stories, a direct result of the hard work of all of you! We look forward to talking to you more!
